Beyond Words

I start this blog with a plan in mind and, at the very same time, with no plan in mind.   As my blog title claims, I’m a wordsmith.  I’m also a woman entering a new phase of life:  empty nesting.  What to do, what to do?

Writing has always come easy for me and I’m inspired by exceptional and creative writing.  I get great pleasure from reading both words of wisdom and humor.  I scatter them around my home, I find them on Pinterest, I receive them in blogs and emails, I post them on Facebook, and I read them everywhere I can. 

I also am a collector.  A collector of quips and quotes, ideas and inspiration, tips and trends.  I can’t ever get enough of them and yet have never known just what to do with them.  Until now.  So, that’s what this collection from carlawordsmith is.  Quiet wisdom and quick wit.  Style tips and random thoughts.

I don’t know where I’m going with it but I do hope you will enjoy it.  Along the way I hope to add photos and fun features.  Most of all, I want you to be both entertained and maybe even educated by my posts, whether they be a simple quote, a tip of the day, or a more lengthy personal observation.  Until then, I’m learning and I look forward to your input!
